
HDG is looking for a full-time/part-time Procurement Intern to join our team in Rockville, Maryland. This is a great opportunity for a student who is interested in learning how interior design projects move from design todelivery through real-world, hands-on experience.
As a Procurement Intern, you will work closely with our designers and procurement team, learn how furniture and materials are ordered and tracked, and gain exposure to vendor coordination, project documentation, and installations.
This role is ideal for students who are detail-oriented, organized, and excited to learn about the behind-the-scenes side of the interior design industry.
This is a paid internship ($16/hour). On-site parking is included.

What You’ll Learn & Do:
With guidance and support from our team, you will:
• Communicate with vendors to help track open purchase orders
• Learn how to review order acknowledgments and assist with purchase order updates
• Help track delivery schedules and estimated ship dates
• Assist with entering and maintaining order status information in our internal database
• Support the procurement team with ordering and documentation
• Help review and organize project paperwork and job binders
• Communicate with designers and the procurement manager regarding order updates
• Assist with warehouse receiving records and delivery tracking
• Occasionally support project installations when needed
Who We’re Looking For:
• Currently pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design (or a related field)
• Interested in learning about procurement, vendor coordination, and project support
• Comfortable working in an office environment and collaborating with a team
• Prior office or internship experience is a plus, but not required

Basic Qualifications
• Ability to learn new internal software systems
