Meridian 2250 at Eisenhower

Meridian 2250 at Eisenhower Station represents the second phase of a three-phase urban development comprising 443 apartment homes. The first phase features a high-rise building set back from the main thoroughfare, fronted by a stormwater management basin cleverly transformed into a pond. Surrounded by grasses, rushes, and sedges, this natural environment has matured into a native ecosystem supporting aquatic wildlife, fish, waterfowl, and native plants, setting the theme for the second phase.

The nature theme continues throughout the property, both in the exterior and interior architecture, creating a connection to the natural environment at every viewpoint. Insect sculptures and a large water feature greet guests and residents upon arrival. The development focuses on public green spaces, including two dog parks and outdoor sculptures of wildlife and insects, such as a steel bee art installation on the backside of the parking deck designed to delight drivers on 495 as they pass the building.

Understanding the health benefits derived from incorporating biophilic design principles throughout the project, the design and development team collaborated to blur the indoors with the outdoors, providing a sense of whimsy and sophistication. With a focus on views to the outdoors and interior art installations, the connection to nature is ubiquitous throughout the interior. The outdoor amenities include two spacious roof decks with multiple seating areas, an outdoor movie screen, grilling stations, fire pits, gaming areas, a three-season pavilion, a pool, and coworking spaces, all promoting indoor/outdoor living.
